Rocio Gordillo (Mexico City, 1980) studied the Bachelor of Visual Arts at the Instituto Allende incorporated into the University of Guanajuato (1999-2003) and the Masters in Visual Arts at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) (2013-2015 ). She studied theories of contemporary art in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, at Parque Lage School (2010).
Has exhibited individually at the Gallery Casa Diana, San Miguel Allende, Mexico (2014), Gallery Oscar Cruz, Sao Paulo, Brazil (2011), Caja Blanca, Df, Mexico (2009), Smoke Live Art, Guadalajara, Mexico (2009) , Kunsthaus Santa Fe, Miami, Usa (2008), Kunsthaus Santa Fe, San Miguel Allende, Mexico (2007), the Station, Chihuahua, Mexico (2007), Museum of the City of Queretaro, Mexico (2003), Museo de Allende , San Miguel Allende, Mexico (2003) and in important group internationally. Her painting belongs to important public and private collections in the United States, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Venezuela and Mexico. It has been selected in various biennials such as Yucatan (2006) and Rufino Tamayo (2009). It was deserving of young creators scholarship of the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) in 2009-2010 and 2014-2015. She currently lives and works in Mexico City.
