El AcTo de LA ATeNción DenTro de lA PinTurA/The Act of ATTENTION in Painting(2013-2018)

After years of exploring figurative painting, my practice shifted toward an essential question: How can reality be experienced without representing it?

Vipassana meditation transformed the way I observe and led me to explore painting as a space of attention, where matter, time, and perception participate in the construction of the image. Through beeswax, pigments, oxides, and wood, I began working with the physical phenomena that unfold in the act of painting, allowing each work to emerge from the encounter between matter and the moment.

My practice thus became an exploration of painting in its own right: an inquiry in which the image no longer represents reality, but reveals how we perceive it, how we construct it, and how it transforms before our eyes.
