La necesidad de transformar mi pintura figurativa me llevó a trabajar en estas últimas piezas, en las que me interesaba apropiarme de imágenes que evocaran el espacio exterior. A través de ellas, buscaba abordar el espacio desde una perspectiva distinta, introduciendo un sentido de ironía y convirtiendo el proceso de transformación en una especie de ritual.
Mi intención era llevar la pintura figurativa hacia otro territorio: aproximarme a la abstracción a través de la figuración y despedirme de la representación de la realidad recurriendo al realismo mismo. Así, la imagen realista se convierte en el medio para trascender sus propios límites y abrir paso a nuevas posibilidades pictóricas.

The need to transform my figurative painting led me to work on these final pieces, in which I was interested in appropriating images that evoked outer space. Through them, I sought to approach space from a different perspective, introducing a sense of irony and turning the process of transformation into a kind of ritual.
My intention was to lead figurative painting into another territory: to approach abstraction through figuration and to bid farewell to the representation of reality by drawing on realism itself. In this way, the realistic image becomes a means of transcending its own boundaries and opening up new pictorial possibilities.
