Silence as a Transgressor of the Mind is a painting series that explores painting beyond form and representation. In these works, physical phenomena—temperature, pigment density, and air currents—actively intervene in the pictorial process, altering the behavior of the materials and shaping the final configuration of each image.
These phenomena are not secondary elements but forces that participate in the construction of the work. My intervention coexists with what lies beyond my control, turning painting into a meeting point between intention and unpredictability, between decision and occurrence. The image is not entirely imposed upon the material; it emerges from the interaction between its physical properties, the surrounding conditions, and my actions.
My intention is for reality not to be represented, but to unfold within the pictorial matter itself. Silence, understood not as absence but as a state of attentive awareness, allows us to recognize what usually goes unnoticed. Painting thus becomes an exercise in observation, in which matter reveals its behavior and the image emerges as the trace of an unrepeatable moment.
