Nāmarūpa is a Sanskrit term meaning name-form or mind-matter. Since beginning my exploration of abstract painting, I have been interested not only in working with form, but also in creating paintings that engage with experience beyond representation.

These works are made with beeswax, calcium carbonate, aluminum powder, and black pigment on wood. The process of heating the materials allowed me to conceptually incorporate elements of reality itself, such as temperature, pigment density, and air currents within the surrounding space, all of which influenced the final appearance of the images.

This exhibition was presented at Galería Obra Negra in Mexico City.
